13TH TAMILNADU STATE ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 13th Tamilnadu State Archery Championships will be conducted
from Sunday 21st February 2021 to Saturday 27th February 2021,
at MGR Janaki Womens College grounds, at Adyar, Chennai. 6am to 6pm.
Organized by The Archery Association of Tamilnadu (TAAT) which is Recognized by and affiliated to Tamilnadu State Olympic Association (TNOA), Sports Development Authority of Tamilnadu (SDAT), Archery Association of India (AAI) and WORLD ARCHERY (WA).
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Change of DATE for ENTRY DEADLINE
Due to unavoidable reasons we will be closing the deadline for submitting entries for the 13th Tamilnadu State Archery Championships at sharp 5pm on Saturday 13th Feb 2021.
After that for another 24 hours entries will be accepted with a penalty of Rs. 1000/-.
Late Date for Uniform Orders: 5pm on Saturday 13th Feb 2021
Official Tournament
This is the only official annual State Archery Championships conducted by the recognised state unit of Archery and medals and certificates won in this event only will be recognised by state and central govt for any credit in educational quota or employment quota under the sports category. Tamilnadu state govt recognises only this competition in Archery for the sports quota for employment.
ANY ARCHER CAN PARTICIPATE!
1. Any registered archer from any part of Tamilnadu can participate in this State Championship.
2. The Archer must have registered in TAAT by paying the annual membership subscription for the year 2020 to 2021 ( valid till March 31st 2021 )
3. Archers who have participated in any championship not approved by AAI ( Archery Association of India ) or TAAT ( The Archery Association of Tamilnadu ) in the last one year need not apply.
4. All entries close exactly at 5pm on 14th February 2021.
5. A fine of Rs. 1000/- will be charged and entries accepted after 5pm for the next 24 hours.
6. No entry will be accepted after 5pm on Feb 15th 2021.
ANNUAL TAAT SUBSCRIPTIONS!
For those who have not paid their annual subscription fee of Rs 1,200/- for 2020-2021, you may pay your annual subscription till 5pm on 7th February 2021.
A fine of Rs 1,000/- will be charged and subscriptions accepted after 5pm for the next 24 hours.
Subscriptions won't be accepted after 5pm on 8th Feb 2021.
You will not be allowed to participate in the state meet without paying your TAAT annual subscription in time.
There will be no relaxation for any reason whatsoever.

Those who have not registered by 5pm, 14th February, 2021 need not register again. Even if you register, it will not be accepted.

NON REGISTERED ARCHERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE STATE MEET.
ARCHERS WHO HAVE PARTICIPATED IN ANY UNRECOGNIZED TOURNAMENTS/COMPETITIONS IN THE STATE OR ANYWHERE ELSE BETWEEN LAST YEAR STATE MEET (12th State Meet, 2019) AND THIS YEAR STATE MEET (13th State Meet, 2021), WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE STATE MEET.
IF ANY ARCHER HAS ALREADY PARTICIPATED IN ANY UNRECOGNIZED TOURNAMENTS/COMPETITIONS UNKNOWINGLY, THEN WILL HAVE TO SUBMIT A CONDONATION STATEMENT BEFORE THE COMPETITION BEGINS AND GIVE ASSURANCE THAT THEY WILL NOT REPEAT IT AGAIN HENCEFORTH. AT THE DISCRETION OF THE GENERAL SECRETARY, TAAT, THE ARCHER MIGHT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 13th STATE MEET, 2021.
IF ANY ARCHER DID NOT DECLARE OR PROVIDE CONDONATION STATEMENT THAT THEY HAVE PARTICIPATED IN OTHER TOURNAMENTS BEFORE THE COMPETITION:
• THAT ARCHER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS YEAR'S STATE MEET.
• THAT ARCHER WILL BE BANNED FOR 1 YEAR FROM ATTENDING ANY COMPETITIONS, TRIALS, SELECTIONS, CONDUCTED BY TAAT FOR STATE, NATIONALS, INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS.
• IF WE FIND ANY ARCHER FROM OUR DATABASE, SOCIAL MEDIA, etc., PARTICIPATING IN ANY SUCH UNRECOGNIZED COMPETITIONS, IN THE LAST ONE YEAR OR TILL THE NEXT STATE MEET, THEN THE MEDALS/CERTIFICATES THAT ARCHER WON, WILL BE CANCELLED/VOID. AND THAT ARCHER'S NAME WILL BE SENT TO SDAT AND AAI, MENTIONING THAT THE MEDALS THEY HAVE WON AND CERTIFICATES RECEIVED WILL BE CANCELLED AND VOID.
• IF THE ARCHER REPEATS THE SAME AGAIN BY COMPETING IN OTHER SUCH UNRECOGNIZED COMPETITIONS WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL FROM TAAT, THEN THAT ARCHER WILL BE BANNED FOR 3 YEARS FROM PARTICIPATING IN ANY OFFICIAL COMPETITIONS, TRIALS, SELECTION PROCESS THAT TAAT CONDUCTS.
* The various categories under which the competitions will be conducted are as follows:
1. AAI CATEGORIES
- Tiny Tots - Recurve/Compound/Indian
- Mini Sub Junior - Recurve/Compound/Indian + Team + Mixed
- Sub Junior - Recurve/Compound/Indian + Team + Mixed
- Junior - Recurve/Compound/Indian + Team + Mixed
- Senior - Recurve/Compound/Indian + Team + Mixed
NOTE: Participation certificates will be given only to Archers scoring the minimum percentage of 60% prescribed by TAAT.
2. TAAT CATEGORIES
- Intuitive (Bare Bow) - upto 18lbs + Team (open) + Mixed (open) (<14, >14)
- Indoor 18m Distance - Recurve/Compound + Team (open) (<14, <17, Senior)
- Tiny Tots - Indian/Recurve/Compound - Kids (8 - 9)
- Tiny Tots - Indian/Recurve/Compound - Kids (5 - 7)
- Tiny Tots - Indian/Recurve/Compound - Kids (< 5)
NOTE: Only medals will be awarded to TAAT categories.

* The registration fees per category per person will be Rs. 1200/-. The registration fees must be paid at the venue, from 6am to 12pm on Sunday 21st February, 2021.
An Archer can participate in any number of categories. Archers must register separately for each category.
Please check the schedule sheet before paying your fees. You can't participate in multiple categories which are scheduled at the same time.
Fees paid are non refundable under any circumstance.
Archers who are participating in the Tiny Tots, Mini Sub Junior, Sub Junior, and Junior categories has to produce ID, Age and Address proof documents. Senior Archers should provide ID and Address proof documents.
Boarding and lodging will not be provided. YOU MUST MAKE YOUR OWN ARRANGEMENTS FOR FOOD AND ACCOMODATION.
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT USE THE TEA SHOP AT THE COLLEGE ENTRANCE, AS WE HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THEM.

* Uniform code for the state meet. Prescribed uniform is Red T-Shirt and Black Tracks.
 
* Uniform prescribed for the state meet (Red T-Shirt and Black Track) must be worn by all for participating in the championship.
