WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT IN ARCHERY BY 3 YEAR OLD BABY SANJANA!

In an unprecedented attempt never ever recorded anywhere in the history of Archery in the World, wonder kid, 3yr old Archery prodigy SANJANA, disciple of Tamil Nadu Archery's chief coach and popular martial arts expert, Shihan Hussaini will attempt to shoot one thousand one hundred and eleven arrows at a target 8 meters away.

Lifting a bow, nocking an arrow on the slender arrow rest without falling off, drawing the string with power and shooting the arrow into the target requires tremendous skill and strength.

Normally in any National or International competition, the Archer shoots only 72 arrows. This itself requires tremendous stamina.

SANJANA's parents SWETHA and PREM explained how she was obsessed with bows and arrows as a 10 month old baby. She was brought to her coach Shihan Hussaini at HU Archery Mission 23 months later. Her coach found her remarkably capable of drawing the bow at a very tender age of 2 years 9 months. He accepted to personally train her and groom her as a champion in Archery.

Once her training started, she strongly refused to stop shooting in the class when grown ups got tired after shooting 72 arrows. One day she shot 300 arrows and was still not getting tired. Shihan Hussaini decided to then train her to create a world record in shooting maximum number of arrows ever shot by a three year old child. She was then trained to shoot 500 arrows daily. On June 2nd 2018, she shot 1000 arrows.

It was then decided to launch her to create a World Record for maximum number of arrows shot by the youngest child ever at 3 years.

On August 15th 2018, 9:30 AM, SANJANA will attempt to shoot 1111 arrows continuously at the MGR Janaki Womens College, Archery Range, Adyar, Chennai.

This record will be dedicated to the nation which is celebrating its 72nd Independence Day.

The Hon' Sports Minister Shri Balakrishna Reddy, Mylapore MLA Shri R Natraj and General Secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Olympic Association Shri J M Fernando will be the chief guests. Shri Kumar Rajendran, president of The Archery Association of Tamil Nadu (TAAT) will preside over.
